Camp Awards (Apology)

Guys... Okay, let me put it this way.

How much do you guys honestly, truly like the Monthly Awards? Please be sincere. I know there are people steadily voting, and I appreciate that. I'm not yelling at you. I'm not even yelling.

It's just now that I'm FT, running 2 sites (RtM is now public), family drama (my Nana who recently was widowed has gotten the attention of a sexual predator in the assisted living facility (another resident even!)... just to say one part) and in poor physical condition thanks to my work (I can't go a single day without heavy doses of pain killers and Thermocare wraps)... I'm trying to do everything I can to make life easier on myself because, hey, survival instincts. I have a lot of weight on my shoulders, and they are not strong enough to handle it all. So basically we're looking at... cancelling Camp Awards for the foreseeable future... or me coaxing one of you into a Graphic Mod position in order to keep them alive. It's just that I stink at graphics and - I kid you not - posting those scrolling pictures on the sidebar takes like a whole hour to get it all fit and trim. It's very stressing too.

I know you all have lives too and I'm the last one who should complain. I just... I don't know. I'm being totally open with you guys. I need help. I cannot keep up. And thanks to the tangle of how many years this site has been open, killing off some of my characters is - connections-wise - much harder than pulling teeth. However, the big cut on my own charries is about to happen anyway because... gotta lighten the load somehow.

And one more apology. I know - painfully - that we are and have been for a while... without a site plot. I guarantee you it is being worked on. Though if you have any suggestions, please please please post them here! I'm game for a full-site discussion. I'm seriously getting worried.

I'm actually not the biggest fan of camp awards, I'd be perfectly fine with cancelling them permanently. All your characters are awesome after all XD

I really hope your life can become a bit more peaceful, but God's always there for you. He knows you can do this, and I believe in you too.

Plot plot plot. It can be a bit difficult to come up with a site plot, and even harder to get it going and have it play out correctly. I think a long lasting plan would be good, especially since posting is a little slow. A long build up and a lot of time for things to come to bloom, since the Percy Jackson series happened over multiple books and multiple years I think we can do something like that too? And let people choose how they want to be included, and if they don't want certain characters to be in on the plot.

I've heard about it and told you my opinions, reason why I don't reapeat it all here (not even the bowl with hot water XD) But I do want you to know that I am here for you, and more important as Rhia said, God is with you all the time, there for you.

I do like the camp awards!! and I would love to make the graphs and all!! but I must face it, I barely have the time to post, I can't assure you that I would do it on time, so... We could pause it and celebrate them again maybe when we have some free time, maybe instead of monthly we could celebrate it 4 times a year, that you also give all of us the time to post more and one post between awards and awards. What do you think??

PLOT

I like that idea of a long term plot! We could plan it calmly and start it in a couple of months.
I would love something that is related to Myths. I've been reading the book of Percy Jackson and the Greek Gods. There are like tons of ideas there that we could explode as a plot of our site! If you like the idea, I'd type down my ideas about it lol What do you think?

I agree with Lilith on the quarterly OTM awards instead of the monthly ones. That way there may be more material to work with to decide on awards.

As for plot, let things settle for a bit and I'm sure someone will come up with a plot idea and share with everyone and our problem will be solved. It won't work to just force something that may or may not work. That's just my opinion.
