Tiana liked to keep up with training, but she did rather hate doing it around the cohorts. Training with her cohort before she retired last Spring had been bad enough. Now she was free of that, no way in the Underworld would she just voluntarily join in. So she spied on the training schedules when she could and had it down to an art. It was roughly lunchtime. High noon. The sun would be hot if it wasn’t December. Not that California got all that frigid. Either way, she embraced the sunlight. So she grabbed her gym back from where she kept it tossed in the corner of her bedroom and stuffed a towel in it, then headed to the kitchenette and grabbed a cold Gatorade from the fridge and stuffed it in too. She swung it around her shoulder, tightened her ponytail, and headed out. Down the rickety steps behind Kline Grocers and out on to the vias of New Rome. She didn’t even give Terminus a second glance as he said something to her as she passed. In fact, she didn’t even bother to register what he said.
Ah, there it was: a blissfully near-empty obstacle course. Looked like… say, half a dozen people there. Not even a sliver of a cohort training. These were the hardcore ones. The ones who skipped meals to train. Probably first showing off. Or, who knows, an ambitious fifth? Oh well, it mattered not. She didn’t really even bother taking in the other people as she approached and dropped her bag at some random spot far enough from the course to not pose an obstacle itself. Had to be respectful, after all. Even she knew that. So she aimed for the hardest portion of the course. Why start slow?
She honed in on what she was facing and the rest faded within reason. She was aware of her surroundings as any good Roman ought to be. The task took precedence though. Standing out like a sore thumb in her complete lack of purple, she attacked the course. Yoga capris and a halter and a pair of running shoes did her just fine. Nothing to snag on the course if it was all hugging your person. That and lots of sunshine hitting her skin, so she was positive she could conquer this course over and over until the sun set. No big deal.
