LOGAN JAMES ELLIOT
Name::Logan James Elliot
Nickname:: Music Man
Age:: 19
Gender::male
Species::Demigod
Olympian Parent::Apollo
Years at Camp::17
Celebrity Claim:Darren Criss
Appearance::Logan has black hair like his mother and chocolate brown eyes. He stands just around 5’8” tall with a slight muscular build. He is often found wearing a set of headphones, as he normally has his ipod blaring in his ears when he is off for training. He isn’t too fond of the purple t-shirts everyone wears and will go out of his way not wear it. Beyond his basic style of clothing, plain t-shirts and faded jeans, Logan hardly goes anywhere without his guitar. Its normally slung over his back. Logan carries his guitar more than he does his sword or bow. On his forearm is his legion tattoo, a sun with the letters SPQR and 17 vertical lines.
Personality::Logan is a sweetheart. He is very caring and doesn’t mind playing the big brother figure to the younger campers regardless of Barrack. Logan hasn’t been hardened by his years of training at the Legion. He hasn’t let the military style of life hinder his natural love and talent for music. He attributes it to being a kid of Apollo. Growing up Logan never cared for the weapon training but naturally took to music. Logan isn’t the type of person to give only 50% to something. During training sessions Logan gives 110% and isn’t half bad with a sword. His skills lay in archery, healing and music though. Logan learned the art of healing along with the rest of his siblings. Logan doesn’t mind being left out of battle, he would rather be looking after people and making sure they are safe.
Logan has a very passive aggressive attitude and it takes a lot to get him riled up. He prefers to use sarcasm to defend himself or to fight. He’s more of a pacifist, which doesn’t fly too well in the Legion. He has proved himself again and again. He’s a skilled healer and needed on the lines of battle. His fatal flaw would probably his lack of self-confidence. He puts on this façade that he believes in his own abilities but Logan is constantly seeking approval from others. Logan doubts himself in almost everything he does, even his music. He loves to sing and play guitar but when he plays in front of others he is constantly worried they will hate it. He is very determined and won’t easily give up at something especially if he knows he is right. He doesn’t like to choose sides and is really willing to help anyone in need. The others in the Legion tend to mock him but Logan lets it roll off his back. He doesn’t let it bother him because he knows one day they’ll need healing and in turn need him. Not that Logan thinks they owe him anything; he would just be performing his duty. Logan doesn’t easily trust others. Growing up at the Legion has caused him to build walls around him and always stay on guard but he doesn’t go so far as to shut people out like most of the campers.
One of Logan’s favorite things to do is to write his own songs and play his guitar. He has a small stock pile of guitars under his bunk back in the Barracks. Since he carries his guitar wherever he goes, they get broken often. There is one guitar though that Logan never takes out of the cabin and if he does its only for a very short while. It was the one given to him by his dad the first and only time Logan had met him. Logan sometimes feels out of place at camp but he doesn’t hate living there. Sometimes Logan can be found trying to bring more of the arts to the campers. He hates that they focus so much on battle training instead of crafts like poetry, music and art. Logan has been known to skip training to do his own thing.
Family::
Ariel Elliot(Mendez)—Mother,
Daniel Elliot—Step-father
Apollo—father met once before.
History::Ariel Mendez was a struggling musician when she married her college sweetheart Daniel Elliot just before graduating with a major in musical studies. Daniel always told her she had a natural gift with music and the piano. The couple moved from Chicago to Los Angeles after college. Daniel was searching for jobs as an architect while Ariel would take her acoustic guitar and play in cafes to help start her career. It was during one of these little café shows that she met Apollo. Ariel was immediately attracted to Apollo and while Daniel was out of town the two got together and not too long after Ariel became pregnant. She was ashamed of how she cheated on Daniel whom she loved with all of her heart. She thought about abortion instead of telling Daniel the truth but Apollo appeared to her again and told her everything she needed to know.
Ariel told Daniel about her pregnancy but claimed it was his baby and he believed her. Logan was born a few months later. Daniel was under the belief that Logan was his child. Ariel knew all along what would have to happen when Logan turned two, but she kept the secret of Logan’s conception from Daniel. The couple slowly grew apart as Ariel fell into depression in the months following Logan’s first birthday. She was deeply in love with her baby and didn’t want to take him to the Wolf House to be taken away for training. Ariel didn’t want to lose her son and begged Apollo to come to her many times but he wouldn’t show. She prayed to the Gods to leave her her son. The day of Logan’s second birthday Apollo came to Ariel. In a crazed frenzy she pleaded with Apollo not to take her son and to have compassion. Apollo explained it would be too dangerous to grow up in the normal world and said Logan would meet his death at a young age if he weren’t trained. Ariel finally complied and Logan was taken away.
Daniel was left with no explanation as to where his son had disappeared to and when Ariel finally tried to explain he brushed her babbling to that of an insane woman. He quickly turned on his wife and accused her of killing their son saying he had noticed signs of mental instability in her over the last six months. Daniel and Ariel split and Ariel was committed to a special hospital to be treated. There was nothing mentally wrong with her of course, only depression from losing her son. But when you try to tell the world that the real father of your child is the Roman God Apollo people start to label you and mentally unstable. Ariel never heard from Daniel, Apollo or Logan again after that.
Logan’s first years at the Legion were extremely rough. He was shy and timid something that was not tolerated. It was pretty much kill or be killed. But he had strength in him that Lupa clearly saw and by his sixth birthday Logan was able to handle a bow and arrow almost better than anyone. But the skill that made him stand out from everyone else was his voice and natural talent for music. He was a kid of Apollo through and through. Logan became more out going but never let the older kids get to him. Even as a kid Logan saw how a lot of the others at camp were serious to the point that it was scary. He didn’t like seeing people so hardened by all of the training. He made a promise to himself that he would never become like them, at least not in that respect.
When Logan was ten he got into a major fight with one of his older siblings. Logan came back to the barrack to find his songbook torn to shreds and the lyre he had made broken. They claimed Logan was too soft to survive this camp and said that he would never be as good as the rest of them. Logan had gotten so angry that he ran from the camp in the middle of the night. Logan had no plans of going back to camp and when a hellhound found him three days later Logan was certain he wouldn’t live to see his eleventh birthday. He held his own for a while but the beast soon over powered him. Before the creature could deal a fatal blow Apollo stepped in on this rare occasion and saved his son. Logan had a long talk with his dad but didn’t treat him like a father; he honored him as a God like he had been taught at the Legion. Apollo saw Logan back to the Legion and before leaving he gave Logan a beautiful guitar, one from the God’s own collection. Logan was moved to tears and would always cherish the gift from his father. He went back to the Barrack and spoke up for himself in a way he had never done before; it was pretty intimidating for a child of ten. Logan was left alone by his siblings from then on.
As Logan grew he kept his caring and loving personality unhindered by the militaristic lifestyle. Logan learned how to heal and found that he was better at that than he was with a sword or even a bow. Logan has since taken more of a fondness with music and everything to do with the arts. Logan still trains like everyone else at camp but he much more loosey goosey about it all. He has taken up a collection of guitars from his trips to the city and has an extensive collection of CDs and music. When he trains Logan is found to be wearing headphones and singing. He claims that the music helps his focus and he moves to the music when fighting.
During the Battle of Mount Orthys Logan did not fight; he provided care to the wounded along with several of his other siblings. Logan didn’t want to fight in the battle and was happy to help those who did. He didn’t see much action except the dozens who came back with broken limbs, missing limbs or gashes. Logan doesn’t like to fight and just sees training as a workout. He has never been on a quest and is thankful for it. Logan is pretty sure he would get killed if he were ever to go on a quest. He worries for the newest vision of the camp prophet Elijah. Logan hated seeing so much carnage during Mount Orthys and hopes that Elijah is wrong about the next battle. Logan hopes for the day that he can safely leave the Legion and start a career in music, he would also like to try and seek out his mother. Logan doesn’t know what its like to have a caring mother. Lupa has been a mother to him but its not the same as a blood parent. He dreams about her often, or his own version of her anyway. He imagines she is a famous singer with long dark hair like his and the voice that would rival the muses.
