Appearance ;;[/color] Jace has fine wavy gold blond and crystal blue eyes that often look at other people with judgment. He has a slim, muscular build, and is about 6’ ft. His face is described as being pretty and angular with a strong jaw. With deep amber eyes that can seem a bright gold when he is in the right light.
His body is covered in scars and marks from his years of training and going on quests for Camp Jupiter. Just he sees them more as marks of honor, that he may have been hit or struck but he was still strong enough to survive. He is usually seen in sneakers, jeans that where torn at the knees and a purple t-shirt but never without some kind of weapon. He also has the tattoo of a roman helmet on the inside of his arm, with 11 bars beneath it and the letters SPQR. Along with that he also has a tattoo of a cross on his chest with the date of his brother Daniels death underneath it and the words ‘What goes around comes around’ on one shoulder, the last two he gave himself.
Personality ;;[/color] Jace is sarcastic, cynical, and witty but also vain, arrogant, and full of angst. He gives the impression of holding most people in disdain but can be quite chivalrous toward women. His charisma, good looks and charm have made him a bit of a favorite near the Venus Barrack. Not that he really cares that much, he rarely ever gets close to anyone other than for a short point of time. He never lets anyone see past his ‘Im the Gods-gift to the world’ mask. His favorite thing to do is fight, train or kill monsters, even some mortals or demigods that threaten the Legion.
Usually instead of being a man and faceing his problems he takes it out on those around him, snapping, causing fights and saying things he would usually regret. Under a bad temper and vain appearance Jace hides an actual good heart, who is just afraid to get real close to anyone because anyone he does either dies or abandons him. His Mother, His brother Alex, his father, which is one reason he usually strives to be a warrior who would make the God of War proud. After his brother’s death, Jace became very intent on revenge against the world. Though in the end he is very loyal to both the Legion and his barrack, he is often considered more tolerable then the rest of his siblings. (Not that is ever saying much)

History ;;[/color] Eighteen years ago, Nadia Montgomery was the high ranking champion in the Canadian professional kick boxing circuit. No matter the size, or experience of her opponent she always was able to beat them in the end. Her determination and successful battle record was what gained her the attention of Mars, The Roman God of War. He disguised himself as a handsome biker in a bar, with a chiseled body and a leather jacket. Nadia fell for him that night like a ton of bricks; they ended up having a passionate one night stand that resulted in two baby boys. Twins, Jonathan and Daniel Montgomery. Nadia was never the mothering type; she viewed the boys as a drunken mistake that she would do anything to get rid of.
So when the boys where only a year old and Mars came to tell Nadia that they needed to go to the wolf house before their second birthday. The young mother took this as the opportunity to get rid of the remainder of what she saw as a night she would rather forget. She took her boys to the wolf house at just a year old, and left them to be judged by Lupa.
Right away Lupa sees the younger of the twins, Jace. Worthy to be one of the Legion, even though he was so small. Daniel however, it took Lupa three days to decide the boy’s fate and eventually she chose to let the boy into the Legions ranks. If Jace had been older, he probably would of thought that there was some hidden agenda behind that. As they grew up, both boys began training with the rest of their barrack even though they rarely went anywhere without the other. Daniel was Jace’s best friend, his big brother that he would do anything for. To Jace his brother could do no wrong, but to everyone around them it was easy to see that Daniel was barely cut out for the Legion and often nearly getting himself killed during training. Something which the rest of the camp just loved to point out to the brothers.
This was not proven to Jonathan until he was 13 and he went with his brother along with a few others on a quest. Which ended with him only being able to watch as his brother was torn apart by hellhounds. This hardend Jace, keeping him from growing close to anyone else and only caring about one thing truly. Winning and proving to the world that he was a survivor, strong enough to be a Son of Mars.
Sometimes he wonders if that was the only reason his brother was allowed to live that long, because they knew his death would make him strive to be stronger. Time went by and Jace continued to train, wanting to prove himself when the battle of Othrys reared its ugly head. Just as a Son of Mars would, Jace jumped at the chance for battle. He walked away from the mountain battered and bruised, lucky to be alive but he didn’t care. The Legion had come back victorious, but there numbers where now seriously dwindled.
Now two years later, Jace does his best to support the Legion and Mars in their attempt to prepare for the new coming orange threat that their prophet has seen. Even if sometimes he questions the way that the Legion is run, or his barrack is lead he is always loyal. Not that he isn’t afraid to make his voice heard.
