Gender ;;Male
Species ;; <--Demi-God--Legacy-->
Immortal Parent ;; Child of Veritas, Legacy of Mercury
Years at Camp ;; 4 years

Appearance ;; Lance is five foot even, with a healthy physic thanks to the training he received to get to Camp and while at camp the training hasn't decreased. He is not as muscular as some of the others, but he focuses more on agility and is highly dexterous. Lance is double jointed, with long limbs he's sure to grow into. There is a light tan across the skin that normally see's light, such as arms, legs and face, but the rest of his body is nearly white. There are many small scars from thorns and bushes, perhaps the occasional practice sword.
Though his face is softened by youth, it promises a strong jaw line. Thin lips and large eyes draw you more toward his the upper part of his face. Deep blue, sometimes gray eyes, hold deep emotion behind his short lashes while messy brown hair sits on top of Lances head, soft and fluffy but never yielding to a comb or brush.
In the past year Lance has had a growth spurt, sending him up 4 inches taller. Leaving him at 5'4".
Personality ;; Though Lance does not have many friends, he enjoys the company of people. He attempts to not be judgmental, but his gut instincts tend to be on point. He never trusts such things as gut instincts though, he believes actions are better to believe in. Though he was not always gullible, Lance will believe nearly anything you tell him. The only exception would be something you say about another person's personality. In Lance's eyes you are every part of you, since everyone has a different face they show people. This leads him to dislike the term two-faced.
Around friends Lance will smile and talk with great joy, he loves making jokes especially the nerdy kind. Almost like a puppy, Lance will follow new friends around almost wherever they go. If he had friends his biggest problem would be which one to follow whenever they went their separate ways. Lance leaves whenever he is asked, other wise he will spend all his time with friends. If he has friends in different places and is asked to leave he will go find the other.
Lance gets to know everything about the people around him, where they normally hang out, friends they have, favorite anything, all of it is put in a kind of file in the back of his mind. He normally gains this information over time by people watching, and listening to conversations. He will not invade someones personal privacy. He knows that he can't help but listen and file away anything he hears and see's, therefor if anything that he deems as private happens he tends to leave. The only time he does not do this is for friends, once you are friends with Lance nothing is private anymore.
Family is important to Lance. He's not too big on the blood connections between people, but the feelings of a parent and children, or siblings are what truly matter. While Lance can see the reason people would want to meet their biological parents, Lance does not seem them as his real parents if he hasn't seen them. The people who raised him, and taught him about life and living are his parents. Siblings are something he's still trying to figure out.
Powers ;; Being the child of the goddess of truth makes Lance the ultimate lie detector. Lance doesn't automatically know the truth about a situation, but he will know if someone is lying. With practice he's slowly gotten the hang of this gut feeling he gets when someone talks to him. Not only can he tell if the person is flat out lying to him, he can tell if what they said is true in the whole of everything. Such as, when someone claims another person is their friend and believes it Lance will know they are not lying, but if that person is not in fact their friend he will also know that.
The Mercury blood that runs through his veins helps him in athletic ability. He is agile and quick on his feet, though not too much more than demigod possible. He just finds it easier to do. It also aids in his ability to fade into the background, erase his presence and not be of concern to someone. This makes hiding and being over all shy much easier. People tend to not notice him, and he can step lightly so they don't hear him either. It's more physical than a god given power.
Family ;; Johnathan Lewis Owens; Father; Child of Mercury ;; Veritas, Mother, Goddess of Truth
History ;;A demi-god of Mercury, fun loving kind and highly athletic caught the eye of the goddess of truth, Veritas. With skills he had been granted by his father Jon was able to uncover many truths in the mortal world. He pursued truth in every way he could, the more elusive it was the more he felt compelled to chase it. Lance started his life in the mortal world, and lived there for the main learning years of his childhood. He had even started going to school and made friends, one in particular had easily become his best friend. They were the only ones who had been taught by their parents about the roman gods, and the fascinating stories and myths that came with them. The two became inseparable.
After a few years in school Lance and his friend had more than a few adventures, always wanting more they often explored as long as they could. One such adventure they went deep into a forest they had never explored before. The boys had a great amount of fun, fighting each other with makeshift weapons, laughing merrily all the way. It was Lance who first spotted a creature, his head wiped around and there in the forest was a lion. Lance didn't think it was even possible, lions lived in Africa or something didn't they? He looked at his friend, the first thing Lanced noticed were his eyes. Opened as wide as possible, and dilated until his pupil was nothing but a pin point in his eyes.
Lance tried to get him to leave, glancing quickly at the lion that seemed to be moving towards them. His friend was hysterical, saying it was a manticore. Lance couldn't help but laugh, though this was no time to, manticore where not real. Lance tried to convince his friend to climb a tree to get away, but he exclaimed you couldn't get out of reach from a manticores barbs. Lance climbed and forcibly pulled his friend into a tree before the lion got close enough to strike. Oddly enough the creature walked leisurely, as if it were just enjoying the boys fight. The tree's where close enough for Lance to start moving toward the exit, he moved slow so his friend could see where to step. Lance had always been better at things that required light footing.
The lion made an odd gesture with it's tail, one that both boys saw. It was only moment before Lance had been nearly knocked from the tree by his friend. Lance was shocked, his friend leaped so suddenly and missed his footing falling to the ground. It was then that Lance saw the spiked and the blood coming from his friends body. Frightened Lance ran through the tree's as best as possible, not caring where they lead just that the branches were all close enough to leap to, and strong enough to hold him.
Lance reached the end of the tree line, looking around he saw nothing else of the creature, or his friend. It had only just occurred to him what he had done. He needed to go back, but there was nothing he could have done. Lance hadn't even seen through the creatures disguise. He knew he had to find help, it was the only thing left to do. Lance let himself out of the tree, making sure not to break anything. If he broke his leg he sure wouldn't be able to run for help. The moment his shoes hit the ground he began to run, to the nearest civilized structure he could find. It was a cabin, a beautiful magnificent stone cabin. He had hoped for something more, and something lived in. Obviously this was not it. When he turned to find something more he saw her. Massive, with red fur covering a lean muscled body and eyes that seemed to glow with such knowledge. A wolf stood tall, and alone.
Lances friend had not made it, and Lance had found the Wolf House. He trained hard, doing his best and began to trust what people told him. It may sound off the wall, and crazy, but he would believe them. The huge wolf he saw was the goddess Lupa, and often appeared as a wolf. He believed it. He was a demi-god, something else he immediately accepted. Something like what happened just before reaching the house, he never wanted it to happen again. The trauma had affected him greatly. While he trained one-on-one with the goddess he was left with little time to think, and he liked it. When he began to get used to the regiment was when his mind truly started causing him problems. Tormenting him day and night, he longed for more time with his friend, more time with other people. These thoughts that plagued him caused him to have stalker like tenancies when he was finally able to go to Camp Jupiter.
Entering Camp Jupiter after he turned ten was both a blessing and a curse. He began to follow people, trying to spend as much time as possible with anyone who extended the hand of friendship and creeping out some in the process. Lance was not always kindly told to go away, since at first kind calm words would not make him leave. Some acts were met with violance, and he took them to heart not speaking about them but giving them space. Lance began to learn he should leave people alone when they ask, however he still has trouble figureing out when he's allowed to hang out again. This all has contributed to a low number of people who he talks to.
Site Alias ;; Rhia
Reading;; I have read all of the PJO book, but the Lost Hero is sitting on my bookshelf.
Roleplaying Experience ;; 7-8 years on and off
Sample RP ;; Miyuki didn't want Akira to be out and about again, but it was inevitable for the leader of any organization. She smiled worryingly at Akira as she fixed the brace into place, she knew better than to be too gentle when putting on a brace. She didn't want to hurt him, but it was better to pull it until it applied enough pressure to relieve the pain. She had expected a shock of pain, but instead got a sigh of relief from Akira. It made it all the more clear how much he needed the brace.
She liked his smile, in fact everyone here had nice smiles, real smiles. The fact people could smile so sincerely was not know to her while she lived in the underground. Though it seemed his mind was off on a race of it's own soon after. Miyuki couldn't help but giggle, Akira was always working or thinking about something. It showed so easily on his face, his facial expression were always something to behold. At least when he wasn't in the presence of a junior from the Rebels. His tail flicked like an annoyed cat, and Miyuki stiffed a laugh. She knew it wasn't meant to be adorable but sometimes the feline mannerisms where just that.
The question was not a surprise, he was always this way and Miyuki had long since given up on asking him to leave it be. Not only once has it passed though her mind that this man was impossible. "I'm really not sure how many times I've told you not to worry about payment, but you never listen. Guess I'm just not as stubborn." Miyuki knew what she really wanted, to never have to go back to that awful city, full of creatures that wore human masks, while committing horrendous crimes. She wanted to stay here, and tend to people all day long. Though she knew that would be selfish of her, and not entirely good for her health. "If you can, um...." The though occurred to her that other than selfish things, and things Akira thought were more beneficial to them than her she had nothing else to say. "Ha, I suppose I'm just not good at this. There's nothing I really want" Miyuki fidgeted.
There were plenty of things she wanted, friends to hang out with and talk to. She wanted people who she could talk about anything with, people she trusted with all her heart. Real friends, and to be honest she wished she had a family that cared. None of those where things she could ask for, and the thought of family made the scars on her back ache. The life here, outside the confines of the city let her have a glimpse of how human relationships were supposed to be. She had only been around these people for half a year or so, she had no right to ask them to be friends.
