Appearance ;;[/color] Neptune has a few wrinkles and gray hairs. He likes it that way. Sure, he could look like some twenty something blonde with a beach body. However, Neptune enjoys showing an age contrast. He is one of the most important gods of Olympus. Neptune has bright blue eyes that reflect the clear blue of the Mediterranean Sea. His hair is a dark brown, yet, like previously stated, it has some gray streaks in it making it have a close resemblance to a salt and pepper hair color. Despite the old styled face and hair, he has a joyful smile. One that has greeted many people. Neptune is also a bit shorter than average, only registering at five feet six inches. His normal attire is a pair of jeans, or slack with a nice coat. Of course, that is his normal formal attire. His kickback relaxing style is a pair of swim shorts with a tee and his favorite angler hat.
Personality ;;[/color] Neptune, like the ocean, can be calm but also deadly. Usually he tries to keep a calm demeanor. Neptune likes to smile a lot. Perhaps that helps with his calm side. One way that helps him smile is fishing. It is such a calm and relaxing hobby. He has been known to neglect his duties just to sit by on a lake all day with a fishing pole in hand. Neptune is also one that likes to laugh. Sometimes he will find a good joke book and just read it to laugh and ease the tension of his life being the ruler of the entire aqua world of Earth.
His deadly side is dark and chaotic, like a maelstrom. He knows when he must influence order and be battle ready. He loves the sea and would defend it until the end, which almost became his downfall in the second great Titan war. If anything happened to his lovely aquatic underworld, he would be distraught. He would be caught with grief and just vanish from existence because he would not know what to do with his miserable life.
From reading too many joke books Neptune also has a slight sense of humor. However, to be honest his jokes are horrible like most are in the joke books. Still he enjoys laughing and being cheerful. Neptune can ultimately be described as a bi-polar god. However, to be honest, the sea is a very changing plain. Why would the ruler of it be anywhere near put together?

History ;;[/color] One day in the reign of titans, a beautiful baby boy was born to Ops and Saturn, and then his very hungry and demonic father shortly ate him. What love he experienced. In his dads digestive system he got to meet his other siblings though, so that must have been a plus. By the time, he was fully grown, and his dad was fat from devouring children who kept growing within him, his younger brother saved Neptune and the rest of his siblings. Then Neptune joined with Jupiter to defeat Saturn in the first ever war against the Titans. Once they succeeded in overthrowing their father and sentencing him to eternity in Tartarus, the Olympians divided the world among Neptune, Jupiter, and Pluto. Neptune got the ocean, which he was excited about. Even if he had to listen to his egotistical brother as he claimed himself king.
Shortly after all the Titan mayhem, Neptune went out to find himself a wife. Of course, his wife had to be something relating to the ocean. Therefore, he found an Oceanid and wedded her. However, at first she rejected him so he had to send the God of Dolphins to reconsider his proposal. Finally, she accepted. Of course, that did not stop him from cheating with those lovely little mortal women.
Neptune had a little rivalry with Minerva in their Greek counterpart. There was a city named Attica at the time. The name was soon going to be changed depending on whichever God gave them a better gift. Neptune, or Poseidon, as he was called then, made a salt-water spring. However Athena, Minerva, won by making the olive branch. Then Neptune became frisky in one of Minerva’s temples with Medusa, who use to not be horrifyingly ugly. Due to their frisky escapade, though Minerva changed Medusas appearance. Needless to say, these two immortals do not get along. However, they do have time when they get along. If it were not to them working together, there would be no chariots.
Throughout time, Neptune had participated in many aspects of history. Look at some of classic Homer tales to hear about destruction. Like in the Aenied when he decided to try to destroy the Trojan fleet, however Juno kept them safe. That did not stop him from going along with history. However, as time went on he decided to stick to his own realm and not venture into the troubles of his brothers.
During the second great Titan war, Neptune was busy fighting off the old Titan of the Sea. However, after careful convincing he decided to enter the battle on land, sacrificing his kingdom to somewhat destruction. Above ground, he helped make the turning point of the war at the last minute. Without him, Olympus would have been taken. This was something he liked to brag about to his brother.
Nowadays you can catch Neptune analyzing sea charts in his kingdom. Or you can catch him fishing wearing his hat entitled ”Neptune’s Lucky Fishing Hat”. If you are really lucky, you can catch him hitting the waves on one of his more relaxed days. Heck, very rarely you will find him at the Roman camp to see his children and teach them more fishing skills. However, because one of his past kids created bad tension with the Romans, his presence is not very welcome. Still, he is a god and is expected to be respected like one.
