* - - Lyndis. Terra. Sinclair. - - *
Name ;; Lyndis Terra Sinclair
Nickname(s) ;;Lyn
Age ;; 10
Birthday ;; March 17 2003
Gender ;; female
Species ;; Demi-god
Immortal Parent ;; Daughter of Fortuna
Years at Camp ;; 0 (first year)
Celebrity Claim ;; Fátima Ptacek
Appearance ;; Lyndis is a petite girl, even for her age. She stands only 4'5” tall with her puffed up hair making possibly half an inch if not an inch of that. Not being able to sit still, along with her already over active child metabolism leaves her skinny as a rail. She has muscles enough to pull back a pretty decent bow, but little more than what is necessary for muscles. While she doesn't like combing or brushing her hair, she still likes to keep it long, which leads to the tangled mess she has around her head. At least it's tangled enough to not get in her eyes. Her attire normally consists of whatever she feels the need to wear that day, it has gone from baggy clothes far too large for her, to a cute gown with inch tall high heel shoes. The only consistent thing about her dress is the tight shorts she wears under his clothes to make sure her underwear never shows.
Personality ;; With people who Lyndis is not too familiar with she tends to be a little more withdrawn than normal, watching them and trying to get herself comfortable. That period only last the first couple encounters, no matter how short they are. Sometimes depending on how long an encounter is, she may open up all the way the first time.
After one gains Lyndis' stamp of approval, in which case she becomes comfortable around you, she has a tendency to talk. Any thing and everything can and will be a topic. She does not leave something alone, and will sometimes pester someone to the point of exhaustion for the answers. Lyndis is a good girl with too much energy, she hates staying still in one place even more than most demi-gods. Her mother may not be the goddess of travel, but favor smiles on the bold and Lyndis takes that to heart.
When Lyndis is quite one should worry, she is more than likely plotting and scheming on something new and interesting to do, or a place to go. She doesn't do this much, since she prefers to be spontaneous, but it will happen. She has caused her father many problems this way, because it is always better and well executed despite how she normally acts, and her age.
Lyndis respects people older than her, and see's almost all of them as leaders, depending on how they act. She was brought up to do as they say, and though reluctant will usually comply. She will not always do as someone says, but will not out right disrespect someone, and feels shameful if someone suggests she is disrespecting them. She will admit that leaders only want her to be safe, but she will also suggest that safety is no fun.
Powers ;; At the moment Lyndis is unable to control her luck in any way. Anything that happens is out of her control, and sometimes out of what she actually wants to happen. Things will happen to keep her relatively safe. This can be considered bad luck or good luck at the time it happens, but it has always happened when Lyndis' life is in danger. In most cases Lyndis would have died or been severely injured if whatever happened had not occurred. It can also be said that it is impossible to prove that Lyndis has any kind of power, considering that it can not be proven she would have died much of the time.
Things will break, or fall in the perfect position even when it should statistically never occur. Things that are impossible will not happen, just what is statistically unlikely will happen more often around Lyndis to save her life.
Family ;; Mother: Fortune, Father: Axel Justaria Sinclair
History ;; Lyndis' father was a modern day nomad, along with a small tribe of people. Living off the land and traveling where their food sources went. He took many bold risks and was a famed man among anyone who traveled the planes they lived. He saved lives without giving his name, and without a second though for it. It was said luck was his mistress, and for a time she was.
Born in such an exotic environment Lyndis grew up traveling, never staying in one place too long and even if they did stay, she still roamed with her father. Lyndis was taught the use of swords and bows, along with how one should use them on horse back. As a child she grew helping around the camp, and learning how to one day hunt large animals with her father. Often she would sneak out to follow her father, to which he would only laugh and scoop her of to go on whatever adventure they could while time allowed.
Being the child of lady luck can bring many good things, she was often favored by luck and came across the best berries and fruit no matter the season. Her luck was not something amazing to many, but it was more than helpful in times of need. Lyndis would always come across what she needed, though not always what she wanted. She did not need things very often, and therefor her mothers blessings did not show up much in her life.
Her father was a caring man, and knew she would need to leave for the place she belonged. Her mother had told him that much when Lyndis came into his life, and when the time came he sent her off to America. It was the most exciting day of her life, she was lead to the Wolf House at the age of 9 and was able to join the legion soon after. The fact she needed to stay in the one place all year came as a shock to her. Lyndis had already stayed in one house training for a year, and now she was expected to be stationary for many more? That life did not seem pleasant for her, and she roamed the camp trying to find a way out for when she was board. She inspected every building, and upon exploring the forge saw a young man hard at work on something. Watching with amazement from the highest place she could get Lyndis watched as he created a small animal. She was over joyed at something so incredible and interesting. For people like that she might learn to like this place.
Still causing people problems, and attempting to leave the borders, Lyndis calmed down a little after encountering the male at the forges, whom she learned was named Edmund. While she had not been able to see him since, there were annoying practices she was made to attend, she was able to see a bird he created around camp. It sung and flew, and was also made by someone she now called the Amazing Edmund.
