Celebrity Claim ;; Aaron Johnson
Appearance ;; Your average slightly more wispy than most teenager. He's tall though, not so tall as some of the sons of Jupiter, but taller than some of the others. He doesn't make up for his lack of height however with any significant stature. He's built in a slight and almost willowy fashion that implies he has little to no strength at all in his hands or feet and it's true unlike many of his fellow male campers he's not muscular and powerful to look at if anything his clothes seem to hang just a little off his long shoulders.
This lack of muscle however belies a certain wiry strength that is corded about his body, particularly his legs it's hardly surprising to think that Ioannes is a little easily overcome in combat situations but then he kicks you, or throws a knee into your gut and your suddenly wondering how the thin, quiet kid turned into a soldier in less than second.
His eyes are the defining feature of his face, not to say that his face is not worth consideration but that'll be covered soon. One icy blue orb, so cold and so inhospitably chilling to gaze upon that most people would prefer to be stuck out in a snowstorm than to feel the shiver running down your spine as it fixes on you. The other is slightly more affectionate, a warm brown not too different from the color of doeskin, softer and affectionate in complete contrast to the icy blue that sits inches from it. The two of them together are representative of Io's main personality trait.
As to the rest of his face, it's handsome. Handsome enough at that, a little black stubble on his cheeks, around his full-lipped mouth which seems to be constantly slanted in a representation of his thoughts on what to do next. His eyes are framed by a pair of dark brown eyebrows that seem forever to be knitting in frustration as to making decisions and his hair is always messy, except when he decides to do something with it and then it's not as messy.
Personality ;;
The trait that defines all of what Ioannes will do or may do or has thought about doing but has decided he might do something else or maybe something over than that or maybe.... yes it's indecisiveness. A trait that is not desirable in anybody, let alone a Demi-God who may be tasked with a quest that could end with the world being completely destroyed. Of course if he was asked to take on such a quest he may spend two hours thinking about the various pros and cons, how it might affect people. It's probably why he's never been asked to go on a quest.
He talks too much, too quietly. For a demi-god he's incredibly quiet and never contributes to class-room discussions or he sometimes does, but when he does it's in a slightly jagged, abstract and often ridiculous manner full of contemplative pauses as he struggles to decide what to say next. Consequently he has very few friends, though he's not gregarious and charismatic he'd like to think he could at least count a few people amongst those he considers close.
Surprisingly for someone who finds it hard to make a decision. He's very studious and works extremely hard to improve himself in both his classwork and his martial abilities, as mentioned above in his appearance it's rare he ever gets into fights as situations are defused often before he has made a decision whether or not to punch someone.
He's thoughtful and caring and gentle deep down underneath all of his indecisiveness and though he's often conflicted as to what to do next. He often makes the choice that benefits the group rather than one that benefits him.
Family ;; Janus: God of decisions, entrances, beginnings, entrances and exits. Blessed (or cursed) Ioannes with the ability to force people into indecision as well as causing them to doubt themselves. Through his father Ioannes has inherited the ability to see both sides of every argument as well as being one of the few living beings to be able to stare at both of his father's faces without switching from one to the other.
When Ioannes does make a decision, his entire mind is wholly focused on it and completely free from it's normal lack of direction. It's what kept him alive during training, during the raid on Mount Othrys and indeed still alive today. Though that focus may be interrupted should he need to make a new decision about something else.
His mother a Roman historian by the name of Natale Lombard.
History ;;
Ioannes was conceived under mysterious circumstances, his mother Natale's family had helped her pack her bags to go to Rome for a holiday only to find their daughter pregnant when she returned from the trip. Of course the Voster's were understanding people, but the fact that their daughter outright refused to tell them anything about the child lead them to disown her. In response Natale changed her name and talked of her parents no more. This unfortunate incident occured long before Ioannes was born and has not affected him whatsoever. His mother gave birth to him the day after her first book on Roman history was published to much acclaim within academic circles.
Natale Lombard was a fiery mother, a woman who would broach no insult as to her son's paternity, something that often put her at odds with those around her. From a young age she noticed how 'spaced out' her son seemed to be, often staring at everything around him, he rarely moved from one position and often seemed to be deep in thought. This was greeted with a mixed response from his mother who saw her child's silence upto the age of three as both a sign of something special and a sign of something very bad. The first words however that ever came out of Ioannes' mouth were, "I dun know what do Mummy."
The words that would define his entire life, the boy was plagued with indecision throughout his entire childhood. It didn't affect him seriously, he wouldn't just sit around wondering whether or not to go to the toilet but certainly the conundrum of the sand-pit or the building blocks was one that frustrated the small boy enough that he punched one of the other children for laughing at him.
Of course the other children were cruel enough to him, a boy with no father to bring to bring your dad to school days and two different colored eyes that contrasted so heavily therefore lead to bullying and more punches.
His mother was at her wits end with Ioannes by the time he reached his sixth birthday, it got to the point where he would spend hours wondering about what he wanted for his birthday or for Christmas, or what flavour of ice-cream he wanted. It got even worse when you threw him multiple things to choose from. Most of that changed however when his mother an intelligent woman taught him how to flip a coin. Something that changed the way Ioannes worked for the better.
He was forever however flipping that coin, a Roman solidus bearing rather auspiciously the face of Julian the Apostate. To this day Io carries the coin with him and flips it to help him make even the most basic decisions. Of course this limits him slightly but it helps with some of the more important things.
Ioannes was informed of what he was for as long as he could remember, his mother never failed to remind him and herself (particularly in her more exasperated moments) that he was 'the Son of a God' and though Io didn't really believe her, he kept hope up that one day he'd get to meet his dad and have a happy family.
When the boy reached ten he found himself bags packed being sent to a camp for people 'just like him' it wasn't his fault the coin flip had made it so that it was impossible not to throw water all over his teacher. His mother was tearful as she said goodbye but her son hadn't cried at all, he had looked at her resolutely and got on the bus and drove off to this camp for people 'just like him' with little enthusiasm. As far as he saw it, it was just all upto chance. Except he was on a plane and then at a desolate area and he could hear a woman talking to him.
Ioannes as indecisive as ever wasn't thought to be much good by Lupa until he flipped his coin and then spoke in a voice as strong as ever. "I will not die." and when Lupa asked why, he simply spoke in a haughty fashion for a ten year old boy. "Because I have decided not to."
A man with two faces came to claim him, the man strolled into the gate, it was thought that a boy as prone to spacing out as Io was would never survive the harsh discipline present at the camp but he soldiered on in his slightly muddled way and when he first met his father. He was surprised to find that he could stare at both sides of him whilst everyone else seemed to only see one. Io made a snap decision for the first time in his entire existence and punched his father straight in the crotch.
Or at least he had aimed for his father's crotch. The man with two faces caught his hand and promptly slapped him back onto the floor. Ioannes however had been claimed and it brought him some respite from some of the more aggressive demi-gods. His father believing that if his boy had any talent or promise that he would show it. Furthermore the gravity of what Janus was about to do had yet to dawn on any of the campers being completely separated from their Greek counterparts.
He marched with his comrades to the battle at Mount Othrys and acquitted himself amiably and maintained his calm as he helped in the back-lines more or less... stretchering away the wounded and the injured and tossing the occasional javelin.
As of right now the eighteen year old Ioannes has become somewhat more reclusive and keeps himself to himself. Though you can find him more often than not practicing the same sword-play, over and over and over for hours on end.

Sample RP ;; Ioannes Lombard flipped his coin and watched it fly through the air light catching the gold surface of the solidus bearing the face of Julian the Apostate the last pagan Emperor of Rome his mother had told him, apparently the coin he flipped and held till it was warm in his palm was very rare and would fetch a high price at auction. But it held extreme sentimental value for the South African boy. Currently he was flipping it to decide whether or not he was going to practice with his sword or do plain exercise for two hours.
Of course he had learned over the years a certain way to get around his indecisive nature, the coin flip was one of them and imposing decision was another, the idea that if he picked two things that both had the same effect and then flipped allowed him to focus wholly on something without being plagued by his father's curse. Of course he had yet to see the upside of being born with one eye a completely different color to the other and the inability to make decisions for himself. As he caught the coin on the top of his hand (a trick he was particularly proud of) and then saw it was head he stretched himself and ran a hand through his messy dark hair before exiting the fifth cohort cabin.
As he did so he couldn't help but think back to the time he had first arrived in the camp, cleaning up after animals and wiping people's armor hadn't seem too appealing to him but when he flipped his coin it seemed totally reasonable and almost rewarding work. Perhaps that was his upside, he couldn't make decisions but when he did the consequences grew easier to deal with. He mused and looked at his eight lined tattoo above SPQR and the two headed symbol of his father and wondered if Janus would ever think of his son sat in a camp.
From what the teenager remembered he highly doubted it, his father was forever doing new things, cancelling shows, bringing in new shows. Ioannes imagined he probably had hundreds of children and just never bothered with them. Though the eighteen year old demi-god found it hard to figure out how any mother could ever forget a man with two heads.
His mind drifted as he walked a little aimlessly towards the field of Mars, his purple shirt hanging a little thinly over his wiry frame and broad-ish shoulders. Should he lift weights... do push ups or maybe he shouldn't exercise at all, perhaps get a drink, water... milk.... or some food as well or maybe not a drink and just food and then exercise, because it didn't help to exercise on an empty stomach, or was it a full stomach should he eat? Maybe not... maybe.... should he exercise? he was feeling hungry... perhaps he should have shower if he was going to eat though.
He was snapped out of his reverie as he tripped and righted himself and then dusted off his shirt and pants and looked around making sure nobody saw but they probably had and he began to whistle innocently.. then sinisterly, then a little more innocently. His body language, his expression and definitely his personality reflected how hard he found it to make decisions about anything at all from something as simple as eating a meal to something as hard as putting a sword through someone.
Perhaps his Father had blessed him with the ability to be impartial. To see both sides of everything, to understand that though taking a man's life was wrong there were positives.
Ioannes Flavius Lombard was a conflicted boy and he probably always would be.
