Appearance ;; Levi is a strange individual. He is a son of Venus, but feels that his beauty lies in things other than physical looks. His eyes are a deep brown and his looks are fairly plain. He has many tattoos that he has acquired throughout his life and they are fairly distinctive, Levi is proud of them. He has a load of callous on his inner arm and on his hands from learning combat and music. Levi is strong, but isn’t overtly muscled. He has a dazzling smile and a rather charming look to him without being too cheesy. He stands about 6’4” and on the slightly chunky side. Not too much fat, but what he calls his huggableness.
Levi doesn’t much look for beauty in his dress. When he isn’t in his usual camp stuff, He wears tee-shirts, hats, ratty jeans, and skate shoes. His hair is always spiked if it isn’t under a hat. His eyes are darkened with eyeliner and that accentuates the brown in his eyes. His knuckles are tattooed and calloused as well. He has a few scars but most of them are covered by his tattoos. They mean a lot to him and he wouldn’t get rid of them for anything. He has recently shaved his head as a lost bet, but it has given him a reason to find more places to tattoo.
Personality ;; Levi is a lover, first and foremost, but secondly he is a fighter in more ways than one. He detests fighting but after being picked on mercilessly, but he does it because he feels that there is a need to fight in order to protect the people he cares deeply about. It also gives him another good outlet for his anger and aggression. Most of it is pent up, being called a useless son of Venus, a non-fighter and only good at gossip and hookups.
Levi loves beauty, but he sees it in things differently from his siblings. To him, beauty lies in the smile, the eyes and laughter that other people have. He sees beauty in body art, his tattoos are his life. A music lover thanks to his father, he loves all sorts of types of music with the exception of rap music, Levi doesn’t consider that music. Levi loves seeing beauty in the little things in life, a morning sunrise, the sharp edge on a new sword or the perfect shot from a bow. He dislikes people who are all about the physical beauty of people.
Levi is part of the legion, he’s not a fan of fighting but he feels like it’s an important job to take on. He’s strong but in the sense of spirit, not so much in strength. He is head strong and stubborn to a fault. Levi loves other people but feels that he has to save every one. Levi loves people, he wants to see their approval and he wants to be with them. One of his favorite past times is hanging out in the forum with his guitar and playing music for the kids and the people to just stop and listen. He loves kids and one day he wants a family he can protect and love. Levi fights strongly that those he sees in New Rome have a place that is safe and they can call home.
Family ;;
Father: Nick Faollan, son of Apollo, 46 (currently not speaking)
Mother: Venus
Siblings: Aengus Faollan, 20, Son of Fortuna and legacy of Apollo (his best buddy)
History ;; Levi’s story starts in New Rome. He was born in mid-summer to his father, a former centurion of the second cohort and a son of Apollo. Venus infatuated by Levi’s father Nick. But it was mostly a physical attraction that really never went anywhere other than a single night’s fling. Levi was a calm and collected child. He was never overtly a problem child, but he always seemed to get his way by other people. He was charming and well behaved and always was an adult favorite. Three years later when Levi’s little brother Aengus was born, Levi truly blossomed. He always wanted to take care of his baby brother and help his dad. At three he didn’t quite understand the concept of not having a mother, but it was truly a joy for Levi to have someone he could take care of and the little threesome of boys was more than wonderful.
A few years passed and things started to get a little shaky in the house of Faollan. Their father pushed them to learn music and to be good at archery, just like him and their grandfather Apollo. Levi was always a favorite playmate of the girls in the same apartment building that they lived in and was always swarmed by them. This only made his father even madder, so as punishment, Levi would be forced to shoot his father’s massive bow and only perfection of shots would allow the punishment to relent. At the age of five, Levi met a son of Mars, Jukka, and his youngest brother, Jussi. Jussi became Levi’s best friend and Jukka had taken it upon himself to teach his little brother’s friend how to defend himself. So he taught Levi to box. It wasn’t a wimpy gloved boxing, no, Jukka taught both Jussi and Levi to bare knuckles box. Levi was grateful for it and since he tended to get into a load of trouble because of his smooth talking ways with the little girls.
The age of nine brought a change for Levi and his best friend. They were sent to the Wolfhouse. Levi worked hard to show Lupa that he was worth not being eaten. Because of his father’s stupid punishments and his natural ability with the bow, he proved that he could be an asset to the Legion. Levi and Jussi went on another great adventure as soon as their training was completed. It was quite a trip back to Camp Jupiter. There was a few issues with the law, Levi was able to diffuse it without a problem and convinced the woman to lend them her motorcycle and they made better time till they hit another snag. Hellhounds. No not the fluffy and adorable pups that Levi had messed with back in the neighbor’s apartment. These were the snarling, roaring, and I’m gonna eat you type of hellhound. Levi and his best friend made it out barely with their lives. Levi ended up with a massive scar on his left leg before they entered in camp. They were given their cohorts at evening muster after presenting their two letters of recommendation. It was a hard life in camp. Levi adjusted alright, but not as much as his best friend. Jukka took to camp like a duck to water. Levi was claimed by Venus and then acknowledged by his grandfather Apollo. It explained much in the way that he loved music and was fairly efficient with the bow. He was slightly embarrassed by the fact that his mom was Venus. He ended up getting to a ton of fights with other kids calling him names and saying that real men weren’t sons of Venus.
At the age of sixteen Levi received his first tattoo. He didn’t count his SPQR tattoo as his first since everyone had one. But his first tattoo was on his knuckles with love and hate on each hand. Ever since then it was all over and Levi became addicted to tattoos. There was just something in the beauty of inked skin that Levi was fascinated with. He was a good and strong fighter, even though he wasn’t physically imposing like his best friend, but Levi had a strong spirit. He learned to be independent and work well with the other members of his cohort. He made plenty of allies but he learned from one of his half-sisters that his charmspeak ability was off to say the least. Levi learned that his charmspeak only would work on members of the opposite sex and defiantly not on other Venus’ kids. He had never put much stock into learning to control his charmspeak, but he rarely uses it unless he is trying to diffuse a fight.
It was at the battle of Mt. Orthys that Levi lost his taste for battle. He fought hard for the legion and at the end, Levi took a spear through the stomach. He almost died and was left behind on the battle field. He was enveloped by a warm light before he was brought back to the world. This was the moment that his minor healing abilities kicked in. He still has a massive scar on his stomach from where the spear pierced him, but at least he wasn’t dead and Levi spent most of the next four weeks in the infirmary. He found that his father had been thrown from New Rome as a disgrace to the legion for not heeding the call when the praetors needed the reserves to defend the city. Since then he hasn’t spoken to/of his father since the incident. Levi has tried his hardest to set himself apart from his father’s mistakes and that he is a better legionnaire then that old man. He even reinlisted when it was time for him to muster out and he signed on for another ten years. After that he would see what he felt like. Maybe he would enroll in some schooling. Levi just wasn’t sure what to do without the Legion. [/blockquote]
