Appearance ;;
Saturn once had a tall, strong, powerful appearance about him, with golden eyes that almost glowed in and of themselves. However, that ended abruptly when one of the sons he failed to consume rose up against him and, in a horrible display of irony, used his own scythe to chop him into pieces and throw him into Tartarus. Since then, he has made only one successful return by taking over the body of a young son of Hermes. That form only lasted a few months, however, as both it could not sustain his power, and it turned out the little jerk overcame him and killed himself before Saturn could take over completely. Now he is back to being in tiny little pieces in the pit of Tartarus, so he really has no appearance at the moment, or at least not a pleasant or all that well packed up together one.
However, when he is showing himself as corporeal (only in dreams at the moment), he takes on the form of an older man with almost a strict father sort of appearance. His white hair is sparse and his skin wrinkled, but his eyes are still quite alive and burn with a golden chill. Most often, he dresses formally, though he can be known to appear in more relaxed outfits. Whatever fits the person he is trying to bend.
Personality ;;
Saturn is cruel. There are no two ways about it. He has no qualms whatsoever about stepping all over the human race and taking their lives for nothing. He is known best for his past eating of his own children, for example. Well, except for his youngest son, Jupiter, who later rose against him; something he’s still sour about. He has tried on multiple occasions to drive a bar between the gods and to destroy them. One of his most infamous successes was his influence of the young demigod, Adolf Hitler. He almost got to his goal of possessing a demigod in order to use him as a stepping stone with the German demigod child of Pluto, but unfortunately, the man, ironically, committed suicide before Saturn’s plans could be unfurled. Saturn is notorious for even killing off his own supporters. For instance, while he valued the work that Luke Castellan put into his own revival, he was perfectly happy with the idea of burning the boy to nothingness in order to gain his full form.
Saturn also has a great hunger for power and doesn’t care what it takes to get it. For instance, he was the only of his siblings to willingly go for the plan of overthrowing his father, and did so with an almost gleeful mood. However, when he unexpectedly had children of his own, he feared that they would be a threat to his own power and attempted to destroy them all. Currently, Saturn is on a mission to try and get his body back and win this time, though along the way, he is fine with being patient (he literally has all the time in the world) and trying to win over people to harm others in his stead.
Powers ;;
As Saturn is not in his true form, his powers are much more limited. In his whole form, or even as he was in the borrowed body, he had the power to manipulate time and cause large radii of space around him to go in a sort of slow, sluggish motion while he can still move freely and unimpeded. He also had a great aura about him that made his presence quite noticeable. However, now that he is no longer corporeal, his power is limited to influencing people’s thoughts and feelings (as he has already been doing heavily to the Titan, Prometheus, for some time now, hence the otherwise peaceful Titan’s intrusion at Camp Jupiter). He can appear, sometimes still incorporeal, to people in their dreams and has the ability to deceive and trick people fairly well and has a lovely tendency to bring out people’s darker sides.

History ;;
Saturn was born before time existed (no pun intended) and was from the off a very anxious almost to paranoia, ambitious young Titan. He did not like the position of just blending in with his siblings. While ruling over time wsa a handy side job, he wanted more. So one day, when Terra suggested they depose his father, Caelus, he was all the happier to do it. So he took the scythe that Terra had made and castrated his father, throwing the pieces into the sea, where spawned a group of monsters as well as the goddess Venus. He then took over in his father’s place and ruled as a king and a tyrant. The only ones he got on with were his siblings, one of which he took on as his consort. His reign was often known as the Golden Age. He even earned the respect enough in Rome to have the holiday Saturnalia in his honor.
But it came to an abrupt end when he unexpectedly found himself a father. And, to boot, he learned his children were destined to take his power from him. Fearing his power would be brought under fire as he had done to his own father, he ate the infants. All except one. Rhea hid baby Jupiter from him and instead gave him a rock. The other gods and goddesses, as immortals, grew to maturity in his stomach, as Jupiter grew under outside supervision. When Jupiter was old enough, Rhea caused Saturn to regurgitate his children and all together with Jupiter, they led an attack on Saturn. In the end, he lost and his body was cut to pieces with his own scythe and thrown into the pits of Tartarus where they hoped he would not rise again.
How wrong they were. Saturn tried many times to regain power and form, but none worked. Until he met a young man named Adolf Hitler. The boy was a demigod son of Hades, who showed great promise. So for years he worked on the boy until he could get enough of his own influence into him. With Saturn’s urging, the now man took control of his country and started a war with those controlled by other big three children. He even was able to get in some influence to get the man to cause the mass murder that would be known as the Holocaust. Unfortunately, before Saturn could control the man fully, Adolf committed suicide to avoid capture.
Saturn returned to his pit and started working on other demigods, causing some rifts here and there but nothing major. Until he met Luke Castellan. He influenced the boy’s thoughts from a young age and by the time he was twenty, had him in the palm of his hand, so to speak. Eventually, he was able to take over the boy’s body and have him create a new scythe of extraordinary power. He nearly took Manhattan and Olympus with it when Luke was able to overcome his influence and kill himself.
That was two years ago, and Saturn is sure the third time he will get it. So now he has turned his attention to the already warlike and volatile Romans, god and demigod and legacy alike. For a year now, he has been influencing the fellow Titan gone traitor, Prometheus, to send the Romans on a chase after a relic neither they nor Prometheus know anything about, all for his own reasons. He also in the meantime works to influence their minds until he can hopefully find another host to get back to his true form and show the gods their place.
