Even antisocial, practically live in a war zone/volcano demigods needed to eat sometimes (or rather three times a day). That's why, at 1830, Edmund showed up at the Mess Hall. True, dinner wasn't supposed to start until a half hour later, but since when did he care about rules? School? When he was younger, yes. But then he got older, and started rebelling out of the system. Half his own free will, half because of his want to survive monster attacks. The only thing he kinda did listen to was his schedule, or rather the eating and training times (kind of). He'd train daily (yet rather sporadically), then he'd hide in the forge when not training, and then resurface to either train again or eat; everything else was kind of up in the air. What was "everything else" anyway? Training included sparring, weapon technique, obstacle course... all that good stuff. What else was here for them to do except for him to forge, them to fight, and then the centurions to yell at their cohorts? For his six years of service, Camp Jupiter didn't exactly strike him as a recreational center in any way shape or form.
Today, Ed's daily act of rebelling came in the form of breaking dinner time, because... well, he was hungry. Okay, kind of a weak excuse with no other grounds other than that, but it was true. Weak never cut it at the Roman Camp, but he wasn't much up for parameters either. It wasn't like he was going to steal food, or hadn't eaten before, but he was just... hungry. He also didn't think he'd need mention that earlier was usually people-less, or at least with less people, but that was just a bonus. If there were any people in here, Edmund just did what he normally did: blocked them out. If any where here, they were probably there for first pick seating or whatever. He just sat at whichever couch/table was nearest. The aurae probably wouldn't start serving actual dinner until the actual blow of the whistle or whatever they wanted to call it, 1900, but that didn't exactly mean that he couldn't take some of the grapes from the small appetizing dishes. Edmund had started out with a slight distaste for grapes... but after six years of Camp, they had grown on him.OOC: ....I was obviously hungry when I wrote this xD
Awkward OOC Ed thread title for the win o.o
