Jason let a smirk cross his face as he rolled his eyes at the boy. The fighting had triggered the memory. However, he realized Ed and Ethan were around the same age, both had black hair. Once the realization had come across Jason he couldn't bring himself to strike the Vulcan kid down. It would have been exactly like fighting Ethan. That was something that was never going to happen. While Jason wasn't much of a fighter, Ethan was worse. He had to make sure Ethan came with him when the manager came to collect Jason. Jason had to make sure Ethan wasn't abused while he worked on his acting career. Jason had to make sure Ethan got away okay, though that part had failed a little and caused Jason to go into a depression for two years until they were reunited again. Jason had to make sure Ethan was okay during the battle last summer. He was a protective older brother, he was never abusive.

"More like appearances. You both have black hair. Also, neither of you can fight with a sword well either." Jason said with a laugh escaping his lips. Perhaps Ethan and Edmund could get along, he would have to make a note to introduce those two. Maybe they could both be awkward together. What a funny sight that would be. Jason couldn't help but smile slightly at the image. He turned to leave again, he forgot to gather his cohort for the mess hall, something bad for a centurion to forget. He stopped suddenly remembering something about Ed.

"You may want to stop by the infirmary soon. When you were a pig I saw a few ticks attached to you. We don't need our residential antisocial kid of Vulcan to go around being uncomfortable. Plus I need to run some tests to make sure you are fit for duty. Report to the infirmary first thing tomorrow morning. No ifs, ands, or buts. Otherwise I will report you for not following medical direction." Jason said with a final smirk to the boy before opening the mess hall door and leaving, trying to submerge the memories of his life before camp into an abyss.

Edmund kind of hated that Jason associated him with his brother. He didn't exactly want to be associated with anything positive. If what Jason said was true, and Ed reminded him of his brother, then that must of meant that Jason had cared about his sibling. He wouldn't hit Ed back. Edmund almost wished he had. Jason had just reminded him that he had a sister. Not that Edmund could forget... but just the talk of siblings. The more human thoughts came back to his head now that he was out of the fight. It was most of the reason Ed liked fighting so much. He didn't have to think about anything else except fighting and trying to keep himself alive. Same thing with forging. He would make himself concentrate in the extreme so no other thoughts could enter. Make himself get lost in either forging or fighting.

The demigod boy gave a slight nod. Well, that was good. Jason probably deserved a better brother in personality. Just appearance wise. Luckily, Edmund hadn't met anyone at Camp that looked like Meg. It was doubtful that he would. Last time he had seen her she was seven and campers entered the Legion at ten. Then again, there were those times where he would try to imagine what she would have looked like if she had grown up. Not that he'd be able to see her, but still. Like Jason had said, he didn't get mail. If they had been alive... he could have. He could have gotten pictures...watched her grow from a distance. Could have gone back. Ed let Jason's assessment that he couldn't fight well with the sword go over his head. He could think whatever he wanted. If it was because of the flat blade hitting his chest instead of the sharp blade, then excuse him. The way Kyoto reacted, his chest would be half open by now.

He watched Jason's retreating back and was going to go back to picking at some of the grapes when the son of Apollo turned around. What he said made Ed's heart sink. Infirmary. He did not want to go in there. He did everything in his power to make sure he didn't go in there. The ticks, darn it. The ticks were probably from his trips from the forest. He could live with them. He'd find a way to get them off himself. The fit for duty tests though... he couldn't really avoid them. He would have opened his mouth to protest, or just protest by not going, but he had already been into so much trouble as of late. He didn't exactly care about getting reported, it was more his fear that they wouldn't let him train. Ed's right hand automatically pulled on his left sleeve, trying to cover his left arm even more: the place where the marks from his last hospital visit were still visible. He was not going to enjoy tomorrow morning.
