Appearance ;;
Elijah stands at an intimidating height of nearly 6'2". He has a slightly muscular build, which is maintained through the lovely training regimes at the Roman Camp. And while most would call it quits at that, Elijah is still prone to going for runs through the forest surrounding the Camp.
Naturally, his skin is covered in numerous scars and marks, almost all of which result from training. However, it should be noted that he still does have some faded scars from when his step-father previously abused him as a child. He is hardly embarrassed by the scars that mar his skin though so he doesn't try to hide them with attire. Instead he favors short-sleeve shirts, jeans and perhaps a jacket (weather-depending). As anyone can tell, he isn't very fond of conforming to the typical purple t-shirts that are a staple of the camp.
Eli has messy, windswept black hair that falls lazily across her forehead. In an almost eerie contrast, his eyes are a pale, light blue. His lips are light pink and are almost always curved in the shape of a taunting smirk. A smile is extremely rare, but nevertheless it's infectious and cute when it appears.
Personality ;;
Elijah has never been exactly the nice knight-in-shining-armor type. Rather, he's quite the opposite. Not many people take a liking to him because he is a sarcastic and cynical guy by nature. Then there's also the fact that he's essentially the poster boy for sass and snark. He doesn't really look on the bright side of things, but one only has to look at his past to understand why. He also really only trusts himself to get things done right for that same reason.
He maintains a similar policy when it comes to caring about people. The fewer, the better. With his pessimistic outlook, he's concerned that if he actually starts to care for someone then something would either happen to them, or they would leave him. That pessimism combined with his secret doubt in humankind as a whole leads to his almost inability to let anyone too close to him (anyone who hasn't already gotten close to him that is, those people he can't really push away now).
Lying is another one of Eli's bad habits. It isn't that he has a certain fondness for lying, simply that he finds lies are often easier to tell than the truth. Not to mention they're rather useful to get rid of people when he doesn't want them bothering him. His status as a liar is another reason why people don't tend to like him. Everyone wants to hear the truth...or so they think. They think he's manipulative and cunning-but not in a good way-which granted, sometimes he is.
But despite all of his horrible personality traits-believe or not, he still has a few good ones. For one, he's always going to do what he thinks is right. Now sometimes he doesn't go about it the right way-but his heart is at least in the right place. Loyalty and dependability also fit in among his more honorable characteristics. He's there when you need him, whether you actually ask for him or not.

History ;;
Marie Sanders, a former member of the Roman Camp-and new resident of New Rome, was always known for her interest in mechanical engineering. Despite her roots, she seemed to have a gift and an interest for pulling things apart simply to figure out how they functioned. If you were so inclined, you can refer to her as the legacy version of Arthur Weasley. Perhaps this was the reason that she attracted the attention of the immortal Vulcan. Either way, one day while she was particularly invested in picking apart yet another contraption of one of the Vulcan children she was interrupted by the god himself. Their relationship consisted of nothing more than one night before Vulcan moved on just like anyone would expect a god to do.
Marie, however, couldn't move on fully, for nine months after their evening, she was gifted with a beautiful boy, Elijah Jackson Sanders. He was the spitting image of his mother, and was a near personality replicate as well. Where she was caring and friendly, so was he. Where she was bubbly, adventurous and mischievous, so was he! Marie treated her son with all the affection and all the attention that any dedicated mother could manage, so naturally he was well-cared for and thus was a delightful little boy. Certainly he got into a little trouble, but nothing that was ever too drastic. Well…except for that time, when he was four and he accidentally lit the kitchen counters on fire. That was a pure accident though…Of course it was, given that up until that point, no one had been aware that Elijah had possessed that kind of a power.
At age five, Elijah’s mother married someone by the name of Dennis Matteson. The man had always seemed a little off to Elijah, but his mother brushed it off as him being a silly little kid. The young boy’s doubts proved to be accurate though, as he found out soon after his mother died as a result of a monster attack outside of Roman territory. Given that Dennis was his step-father, the man had custody of the boy so Elijah stayed with him until it was time for him to be sent to Lupa. During this time, Elijah drew into himself, more so when his step-father started to resort to drinking and child abuse to ease his own pain. Naturally this led to an even further decline in Elijah’s formerly positive personality and his physical state as well. It went unnoticed though until one day when Elijah’s temper, similar to that of his father’s, flared up immensely and he accidentally left the man with severe, near-fatal, burns on his chest and arms (and no, in case you were wondering, he didn’t apologize). Needless to say, it was the perfect time for him to be escorted to the Wolf House.
After arriving at the Wolf House, it didn’t take long for Lupa to determine the young boy’s worth. With his father’s gift for fire and his talent in swordsmanship, Elijah was fairly easily admitted into the Roman Camp. Here, he fit in well enough with most of the campers. They were jerks, and so was he, so it was the perfect match wasn't it? Needless to say though, Elijah didn't make many friends with his now bitter, snarky attitude. With all that time free from socializing though, he did master the art of using a sword quite well. It should be noted, however, that Elijah did become very close with a son of Mercury, Daniel. In fact, he would even begrudgingly admit to the boy being his 'best friend,' but not many would hear him say that. Unfortunately for him and Daniel though, Daniel was killed in the second war with the titans. Elijah had turned his back on his friend for a mere moment but when he turned back again to check on Daniel, he was already as good as dead. Following the battle, despite he, himself, had fought quite expertly in it, Elijah began to rely even heavier on his tools known as sarcasm and sass to keep people from getting too close to him. Unfortunately he has been that way ever since.
