Appearance ;;
Ronan stands at a towering six foot and nine inches tall in height and weighs about three hundred pounds of pure muscle. His chin is strong and most of the time stubble from where he just doesn’t have much time to shave. Ronan’s body looks as if it was crafted by the old Greeks that made of marble that personified perfection in the body. But for all of the perfection that his body has, there are a few parts that Ronan is a tiny bit ashamed of. There are scars from where some of the people that he grew up with threw rocks at him, his lip is permanently scarred as well as a crescent shaped scar near the temple of his left eye. His eyes are a sharp blue and have a calculating look about them. His hair falls to shoulder length and dirty blond in color. His hands are large, rough and calloused. Ronan prefers to wear jeans and a camp tee-shirt though it’s rather hard to find clothes that fit him and it’s not like camp Jupiter has a big and tall shop. While smithing, he wears a pair of large work boots and jeans without a shirt, he has incinerated more than one shirt due to his tendencies to grab things straight from the forge.
Personality ;;
There are quite a good bit of things that Ronan likes. His favorite times of the year are summer and winter because he likes being heat resistant and a warm water bottle in the winter. He is quiet and reserved, but when you get him talking he answers in short sentences. He is extremely shy around people because he was bullied a good bit, but it’s mostly females that he is cautious. His forge is his home and sometimes people find him asleep across his anvil. Under his desk he keeps a blow up mattress and pillow. He’s a bit of a perfectionist when he looks at his own pieces of work. Ronan’s work is quick being that he’s a son of Vulcan, but he hate’s rushing something or being told he has to do something absolutely now. Ronan likes to do things at his own pace, which leads a good bit of people to think that he’s slow or stupid. As a young child he was never allowed to partake in sports because of his size, so he always came to resent being so tall and muscled. Also because of this he never developed that natural competitive streak that most boys have.
He resents his mother, knowing that she placed him in the care of his grandmother when he was small, and passed away. Ronan believes that she is alive and simply doesn’t want him because he feels as if he was a disappointment to her. Even the caretakers in the orphanage believed him to be a disappointment. The idea of getting close to people makes Ronan feel uncomfortable but he isn’t completely against the idea. While he doesn’t say much in the way of things to people, he is honest in what he says to others. He dislikes being lied to so he wouldn’t lie to someone else. He is loyal to a fault and will dedicate himself to a person who calls him a friend.
Powers ;;
Under Water breathing: As a legacy of Neptune, he can breathe under water. Funnily enough he’s scared of water and swimming because of his muscles and bulk.
Fire manipulation/ heat resistance: Ronan can manipulate fire but he cannot create it. Because of this he also has a strong resistance to heat. He also has a much higher than average body temperature, topping out at around 109 on a normal day.
Technopathic: To a degree, Ronan has a bit of control over the things he makes. With weapons, armor, and automatons he makes, he can look at a weapon and know it’s weak points and how it was made. He can tell the state of repair that a piece of work is in and he knows the easiest way to fix it.
Weapon/physical prowess: After nine years of being in the forge, Ronan is well built from working the bellows and the hammers against the anvil. He is also rather familiar with any sort of weapon he comes across, though it’s not to the same degree as children of mars. But he can use simple physics to manipulate a weapon to his fullest ability.

History ;;
Ronan’s mother, Anya Redpath, was the daughter of a Russian immigrant whom had caught the eye of Neptune the lord of the Seas. After Anya completed her service in the legion, she left so she could work for the US Navy as an Aquatic Engineer. She caught the eye of a co-worker in the engineering department and they started a relationship. A few weeks after a night time filled with a romp in the Air and Space museum, Ronan was conceived. Anya soon found out that the man she had been seeing was Vulcan, the god of blacksmiths, fire and the forge. She knew what sort of life her child would have and she regretted ever having conceived a child.
Ronan was born in November during a hell of a snow storm. The hospital had lost power and the nurses were scrambling to help everyone, Anya was stuck in an elevator when the power had gone out, causing Ronan’s birth to be in said elevator. It was four hours after he was born where they able to finally get the mother and child out of the elevator. They were concerned for the child’s safety considering the temperature readings were close to where the organs should shut down, but after plenty weeks of studying and diagnostic tests, Ronan was released from the hospital.
From birth, he was always a large child. In the early days of child care he was picked on by many other people. The Grownups were always chiding him for being gentle though he never hurt a single person or broke anything. If there was an injury, the other kids were quick to blame him. Ronan was constantly in trouble and was thrown out of nearly four different preschools because he was either considered too stupid or too troublesome to continue his education. After many years of trial and error, Ronan was finally placed in the care of his aging grandmother who was nearly 68 by that time with rapidly declining health. His mother was scheduled to deploy overseas for some naval war games in Okinawa when her plane went down, ultimately leading to her demise. The news struck his grandmother into heart problems, forcing her to go to the hospital. It wasn’t until four days afterwards that Ronan was found by the authorities after a watchful neighbor called the police thinking it was either a vandal or a burglar. Because his mom had recently passed and with his grandmother unable to take care of him, Ronan was placed into an orphanage until someone was able to adopt him.
Ronan was always picked on, even at the orphanage. The girls, however, were particularly vicious and mean towards the giant. He was always the tallest and the strongest; however he was the most emotionally vulnerable. The words they had said always got to him so instead of talking back or trying to fight against them, he became quiet. He never even was looked at for adoptions. After a bout of the kids throwing rocks at him, he finally snapped, growing angry and shouting. The fire in the fireplace reacted to his anger and temper, incinerating the house. The children who managed to escape swore up and down that Ronan did it though there was no evidence to suggest that he did. He was the only one to survive the blast at such close proximity without any injuries or burns. He, along with some other children, were shipped off to different orphanages.
On the day he turned nine, he was adopted by someone from a place called New Rome, but instead of being taken someplace nice, he was left in the ruins of the wolf house. There he learned from Lupa how to defend himself and quickly was able to learn the ways of the pack. Ronan had been told by Lupa that he had a special gift and that not many would receive that gift openly. He knew that he had an ability beyond that of the normal demi-gods that Lupa told tales of. Ronan was sent on his way to camp. He was ambushed by monsters nearly less than a mile away from the entrance of the camp. Ronan dragged his body across the camp boarders where he was treated after passing out from loosing a lot of blood from a bit wound on his leg.
Ronan adjusted to the life of camp rather quickly after finding a nice home in the forge. He found that instinctively he was able to build things and create things after only seeing them once or twice before. His many years spent in the forge brought on a massive physique and now he wasn’t picked on as much for being bigger than everyone else. He was able to forge and perfect his two massive warhammers that he specializes in. They each weighed about seventy five pound but for a child of Vulcan who had spent much time in the forge working with heavy equipment, it was easy to swing them around like it was nothing. The battle of Mt. Orthys was a bloody one and it was the first time that Ronan was able to unleash his fire skills without having to feel remorse or guilt. He mowed through enemies on the battlefield, a whirling dervish of arching flames and blunt, heavy objects. Ronan had no remorse about killing that day.
He tends the forges, mostly keeping to himself, training hard and working hard to keep himself in good shape for the day that his battle skills are needed again. [/blockquote]
